Dezeen and MINI launch new initiative exploring the future of cities

Today we launch Dezeen x MINI Living Initiative, a year-long exploration of how architecture and design can contribute to a brighter urban future.

Read on to learn more about the project, plus join us in Milan next week for the first in a series of talks.

How do we tackle the issues facing our cities?

Dezeen x MINI Living Initiative explores creative solutions to these challenges proposed by cutting-edge architects and designers around the world.

Through a series of videos and a programme of talks, we will cover topics including sustainable urban architecture, smart technology, innovative approaches to co-living and co-working, as well as more conceptual ideas of city life in the future.

Watch all the videos as we publish them at www.dezeen.com/miniliving

Join us in Milan on 6 April at 3pm for the first Dezeen x MINI Living Initative talk.

Architects SO-IL, Assemble and Carlo Ratti will discuss the future of sustainable urban architecture at MINI's Breathe installation designed by SO-IL (above) at Via Tortona 32.

Venue: MINI Living – Breathe, Via Tortona 32
Date: Thursday 6 April
Time: 3pm

Can't make the talk? We will be streaming it live on Dezeen and our Facebook page.

If you are an architect or designer working on solutions to the challenges facing our cities, we would love to hear from you.

Email your work to miniliving@dezeen.com if you would like it to be considered for the project.

Dezeen x MINI Living Initiative is the fourth major collaboration between Dezeen and MINI.

Previous projects include Dezeen and MINI World Tour, the multi award-winning Dezeen and MINI Frontiers and last year's Most Loved video series.
